Breyer Joins Growing Talent

1 February 2023
Breyer staff at jobs fair talking with potential new talent

We’re joining social mobility programme Growing Talent to make job opportunities with Breyer more accessible to those whose CV, if they even have one, does little to promote their natural skills.

The Growing Talent programme, devised and run by JJC Ltd, offers individuals seeking work an innovative way of accessing jobs that match their abilities. By bringing employers and potential talent together, Growing Talent shortcuts the vacancy-filling process and enables both parties to find the right fit through an unusual mix of CV-free recruitment meetings and paid work placements. The process even includes a speed dating approach to match potential employers with suitable job candidates.

Liz Obertelli, Head of Social Value & Communities for Breyer, comments:

“We’re really pleased to be taking part in the Growing Talent programme to offer job opportunities to people who might well have the right skills, but not necessarily the knowledge of how to present them, which means they could be missing out on securing a job that would otherwise suit them well. As a property services company, Breyer sees this kind of creative approach to talent acquisition as crucial to future-proofing the construction sector workforce. And it is an effective way of enabling greater social mobility for anyone motivated to find a suitable role and grow in the workplace.”

Jane James, Co-Ordinator of Growing Talent at JJC Ltd, added:

“The clear passion Breyer has for not only building sustainable homes but also empowering all residents to flourish, matches Growing Talent’s ethos.  We are glad to have them onboard.”

Breyer Hiring Managers will be attending their first Growing Talent Speed Dating event, alongside employers from a range of different businesses, on 14th of February 2023 with a view to filling QS, Admin, Site Manager and RLO roles. We’ve also committed to attending an additional 3 or 4 events throughout the year with further vacancies.
