Breyer Repair has brightened up a local Bowls Club as part of a social value project to bring a new lease of life to a much-loved community space in Dartford.

Thanks to the decorating skills of trusted sub-contractors TP Painting Solutions and a donation from Breyer Repair, the Invicta Dartford Bowls Club now has a fresh newly painted exterior, as well as new guttering.

Breyer Repair Supervisor, Wayne Baldock led on the maintenance of the guttering, alongside Roofer Colin Hartigan, giving up a combined 14 volunteer hours to deliver the improvements for the 100-year-old Bowls Club.

To celebrate the unveiling of the newly renovated clubhouse, Dartford MP Gareth Johnson met members from the club, along with the Breyer team who worked on the project earlier this summer. He even turned his hand to a game of bowls.

Wayne Baldock commented:

“It was a real pleasure to see the smiles on the faces of the elderly residents enjoying their newly-decorated clubhouse, which is an important space for many, not only as a place to play bowls but also as a based for socialising in general. We hope the fresh new look will encourage more residents to get involved and appreciate the health and wellbeing benefits of getting active and meeting with others. This is why Breyer is creating a Place of Change Hub at the clubhouse so that we can offer ongoing support to this valuable community facility for the longer-term.”

Thank you to BuildBase for the discount on guttering for this social value project. A real team effort all round!
