Arts in the Park Festival

If you attended the above festival held at Home Park, Lewisham, last Sunday 20th July, then you may have come across the Breyer Group marquee, ably manned by a group of volunteer employees. Rosin Pinder who works in our admin support team said, “I didn’t know what to expect and ended up having a great day out”. The festival was blessed with fantastic sunshine and a good time was had by all.


Update On Works

We would like to inform you that Site Manager Steve Smith has left the Breyer Group. In Steve’s absence Jim Bryan will be covering until 8th August 2014, when we will advise who will be managing the site until completion.

Works to Balustrades

The progress of the balustrade replacement and programme is as follows:

Block 150 - 180

Wood Vale Communal and private balustrades have been installed with the exception of minor works which will be completed once the installation of the water proof membrane to the walkways and balconies is complete. The application of the water proof coating is underway and full block completion is scheduled two weeks later on the 4th August.

Block 246 - 268

Communal and private balustrades have been installed with the exception of minor works which will be completed once the installation of the water proof coating to the walkways and balconies is complete. The application of the water proof coating has been delayed by the need to address unforeseen defects in the underlying concrete structure, which were not apparent until these areas were opened up. Application of the membrane is programmed to take place week commencing 18th August and full block completion scheduled two weeks later on the 1st September.

Block 334 - 356

Communal and private balustrades have been installed with the exception of minor works which will be completed once the installation of the water proof membrane to the walkways and balconies is complete. The application of the water proof membrane is programmed to take place week commencing 28th July and full block completion scheduled two weeks later on the 11th August.

Block 358 - 380

Communal and private balustrades have been installed with the exception of minor works which will be completed once the installation of the water proof coating to the walkways and balconies is complete. The application of the water proof coating to the walkways and balconies has been delayed by the need to address unforeseen defects in the underlying concrete structure, which were not apparent until these areas were opened up. Application of the membrane is programmed to take place week commencing 11th August and full block completion scheduled two weeks later on the 25th August.

Block 382 - 404

Communal and private balustrades have been installed with the exception of minor works which will be completed once the installation of the water proof coating to the walkways and balconies is complete. The application of the water proof coating is programmed to take place week commencing 4th August and full block completion scheduled two weeks later on the 18th August.

Progress of other works on all blocks

Progress of other works on all blocks has been good. However, as you will see from below the estimated completion rates as a percentage for some of these works has changed and now appear lower than last reported. This is due to recent changes within the site team and a review of when works should be recorded as complete. These changes made to the percentages do not affect our anticipated completion dates.
