The aim of these newsletters is to keep you informed about the progress of Lambeth’s Capital Works to meet the Lambeth Housing Standard.

 

Progress to Date

Scaffolding has been erected to 40 properties across the estate. Roof cleaning, gutter repairs and cleaning, masonry repairs and pointing have now been completed to all these properties.

 

Front Entrance Doors

Unfortunately, the fitment of new front doors to tenanted properties will now be done under a separate scheme, Lambeth Council will inform affected residents in writing of the planned start date. In the meantime we have painted the majority of front entrance door frames and the doors themselves will soon be painted. Residents will shortly be offered individual choices of 4 colors for their door. The choices are: Blue (Ral 5011), Red (Ral 3002), White (Ral 9016) Green (Ral 6005).

 

Planned works - May

During May, we are scheduled to begin window replacements. The complete replacements are planned to take 2 days per property, depending on the number of windows to be replaced. Once complete, access will be needed for the windows to be inspected by representatives of Lambeth Council and their appointed consultants. Once complete, scaffold can be removed from the property.

Privacy

 

Please be reminded that the scaffolding outside your property is in use Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5pm. If you feel at any point during the day you may be put in a compromising position by workmen outside your window, we would advise that you close your curtains/blinds.

Scaffolding

 

If you see any suspicious activity on or around the scaffolding to your home, please contact the police on 101 and then contact the Breyer Group. Should this be during the working hours please contact the site team otherwise we would ask you call our Emergency out of Hours Line 0800 389 9706.

 

Working Hours

Our working hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. It is unlikely that we will need to do any work in the evenings or at weekends. If we ever do need to work unusual hours, we will seek the permission of Lambeth Council and we will let you know if it affects you or your home before we start work. We have a site office compound on Thorne Road, SW8 2BY, for any immediate concerns.
