Breyer Roofing Remains Busy Throughout 2017

As predicted in the beginning of the year, our Roofing Division is really active this summer – we now have 31 projects running across the London and South East area, 20 of which are academies and schools.

We are working on these projects on behalf of: Brighton Academy trust, Anglia Ruskin University, Surrey CC, Bucks CC, Southampton CC, Stevenage BC, Dartford BC, Kier, etc. Roofing and special trade construction works are also being carried out on a fire station for Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The Roofing Division is also carrying out a project for London Legacy Development in Custom House - roof renewal, brickwork repairs to parapet, and building of new lead box gutters are just few of the works due to be completed on the listed building (see photo below). Located in the south area of the Olympic Park, Three Mills Island is home to the largest tidal mill in the world and also home to London’s largest film studio. The island is a conservation area bordering the River Lea.

The architecture and location of the building are unique – with cobblestone streets, coast house architecture, a clock tower and old brick buildings surrounding the area.

With about 20 tenders to return within the next 2 weeks, we are looking forward to a busy summer and hoping to secure a substantial package with Hertfordshire CC, which consists of roof renewals to 9 schools.

The Roofing Division is also showing interest in the ‘Roof and Guttering Cleaning and Maintenance’ 4 years contract with Chelmsford CC, with possible extension.

Well done to our Roofing Team who have worked extremely hard (and continue to do so) from tender stage through delivering the projects, particularly during this very busy time in the industry.
