On Friday 25th May 2018, Pyramid Plus London (PPL) held their first annual staff away day at the historic Brooklands Motor Museum in Surrey. PPL is our Joint Venture with A2/Dominion based in Ealing providing a full Repairs and Voids service.
Led by Paul Blizzard, Head of Pyramid Plus London who acted as compere throughout the day was attended by the full team of 64 staff comprising Managers, Administrators and Operatives together with 7 of A2/Dominion’s staff took part.
Paul started the day with presentations on ‘Where we are Now’ and ‘Plans for the Future’. The aim was to build on current success, develop new ideas and share understanding of the team’s values.
Further presentations were made by Andy Le Marie, Head of Health, Safety and Environment and Graham Byrne, Head of Customer Care.
Paul and Managing Director Tim Breyer then jointly opened the floor to questions, comments and suggestions from the floor. Staff appreciated the honesty and the session provoked a great deal of thought and ideas for the future.
It was a gloriously sunny day and upon arrival our team enjoyed a buffet breakfast and an hour to relax, catch up and explore the fascinating exhibits housed in the Museum.
It was all presentations and a fun team building event was held in the afternoon. Using the inspiration around the Museum this was Go-Kart Racing with a difference, before the racing could start teams had to design and build their own cart. 8 karts were built in the afternoon requiring teams to work together to win the coveted first prize.
Paul Blizzard said, “The feedback over dinner in the evening was fantastic and very welcomed. Thanks to everyone for their valuable contribution to PPL”.
Staff left enthused over the year ahead and their contributions to our plans they can make. Previous Article
