On Friday 26th September, Breyer Group got involved in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. In all, we managed to raise over £1650 with great support from our sites at Tower Hamlets, Islington, Lewisham and Lambeth who also held their own Coffee Mornings and raised a fantastic amount of money.
In addition, we received very generous donations from our Supply Chain Partners, Adam Michael Scaffolding who donated £200 and Gunite who added another £200 to the pot. Thank you very much for your support.
ISLINGTON: The Team at Islington arranged Coffee Mornings at 2 locations which were both visited by Tim Breyer on the day. It was a great turnout with support from Islington Councillors and Senior Managers from LB Islington together with Board Members of Mildmay TMO.
Everyone showed great support with one lady donating £20 for a couple of slices of cake and a drink! In all, our Islington Team raised a whopping £575.
LEWISHAM: The Team at Lewisham attracted 30 local people to their Coffee Morning with support from Residents as well as local market traders and shop owners and a good time was had by all! The Team organised a raffle with prizes donated by staff and contractors which included an ipod, LCD TV and vouchers and managed to raise a fantastic £201.
TOWER HAMLETS HOMES: The Team at THH managed to raise £132 with the support from local Residents together with Operatives and Staff. Rebecca Major’s (Senior RLO) son, Oliver also gave a helping hand by making rice crispy cakes for the occasion.
LAMBETH – The Team at Lambeth got together with local Residents and business owners to raise £243 through the sale of their cakes and hot beverages.
A huge ‘Thank You’ to everyone who supported the Macmillan Coffee Morning. It was a tremendous success!
