We recently carried out kitchen and bathroom works at a project for Affinity Sutton (now Clarion Housing). Marie Sayers, one of the residents was so impressed by Shereen Hylton, (Resident Liaison Officer) that she sent in the following email.
I wanted to send directly - you can pass on to anyone you think should see it.
I have extensive experience of work as a trainer, lecturer, and Life Coach and have, as a result, spent many years teaching and training people (staff, trainees, and students, as well as senior management) on the best way of communicating and managing people and projects, and more specifically, keeping people happy and feeling 'heard'.
Your approach is practical, as well as effective and your communication skills are excellent, showing attention to detail, strong level of empathy, a problem solving attitude and efficiency. Nothing has been too difficult, or too small for your attention and everything left with you has been addressed, even when I'd forgotten about it.
I am truly and deeply grateful for your direct and committed involvement on this project - you made me feel as though I was the only customer you were charged to manage. In fact, your skills, approach to others, and to problem solving is a wonderful example of how to do it and do it with excellence.
Keep up the good work but don't forget to look after yourself. Follow your dreams, you have the skills and the heart to excel.
