Introducing Breyer Group

Breyer Group was originally founded as an asphalt roofing contractor by Fred Breyer in 1956 and our construction company is still family owned today and is currently managed by Tim Breyer.

With our family values still firmly in place we always put people at the heart of everything we do. It is our intention to consistently provide our residents with a positive experience when making repairs to their homes, and to actively contribute to improving the fabric of the local communities in which they live. We are committed to Community Development and have developed a business model that encourages local focus and participation regardless of the growth or scope of our operations.

This includes delivering life changing initiatives such as our antisocial behaviour schemes to reduce crime and vandalism and, through our employment and skills plans, our award winning apprenticeship scheme which, since its inception, has delivered over 100 apprenticeships.

Whether it’s a regeneration project, a long-term programme or a multimillion pound partnering framework, we will always tailor our approach to suit the residents and the local community.

With over 400 employees and over 60 years’ experience specialising in roofing, construction, responsive repairs and maintenance, we are extremely proud to be one of the industry’s leading Principal Contractors, operating from our headquarters in Romford, Essex and our network of locally based offices. Our ISO9001:2015 certified quality management system reinforces our focus on excellent levels of customer service and satisfaction.

Mission statement

Breyer Group's mission statement, which outlines our medium and longer term objectives, specifically targets growth and in securing an increased proportion of our turnover from partnering work with our clients for the following reasons:

  • ability to invest increased resources in training and developing Breyer Group staff
  • partnering does, we believe, provide a more sustainable approach to managing our business

Our business plan details the following strategic objectives for the group:

  • to develop communities at a highly focussed local level by encouraging participation
  • to meet our turnover targets for the next five years
  • to increase profitability as a percentage of turnover year on year
  • to increase the level of negotiated and partnered work to 70% of our annual turnover
  • to provide career progression, training and development to our staff
