In partnership with Samuel Rhodes Secondary School in London, N5 and on behalf of Islington Council, Breyer Group participated in the annual ‘Presenting Yourself Day’ on Tuesday 25th April. The event aimed to guide year 11 students through an employability skills workshop and how to present themselves to a prospective employer, building their self-esteem.
On the day our Community Investment & Development Officer, Paula Arkell-Waller supported pupils who required reassurance and encouragement, students with varying emotional, reading and writing needs. Working in pairs and in groups, students gained insight around interview techniques and feedback was given.
Islington Council’s School Liaison Officer, Diana James said “Thank you so much for offering your time to support young people within our Borough. Very positively 67% recorded that the workshop was very useful – because of working with you all of course. That is a fabulous result!”
After the presentation of certificates, students and the staff ended the ‘Presenting Yourself Day’ with an informal lunch at TREVI, an Italian restaurant in Islington, London. Previous Article
