As with all Breyer Group Community Development Initiatives, we aim to design schemes that are creative, imaginative and sustainable and the Brush Strokes Initiatives ticks every box and more!

This initiative was originally launched by A2 Dominion Volunteer Service and aims to improve the quality of life for its tenants who are unable to decorate their homes for various reasons (such as age, physical disability, and ill-health or low disposable income).

Breyer Group is supporting A2 Dominion in the delivery of this initiative by financially contributing to this programme which will ensure this project is able to run until the end of 2011.

In addition Breyer Group is also providing a series of tailored works shops that will present each volunteer with advice/tips, guidance and expert knowledge when it comes to Painting and Decorating. This means the volunteers gain professional training from expert tradesmen and are able to show case their improved painting and decorating skills whilst delivering the Brush Strokes initiative.

To further support this initiative and demonstrate our commitment to local training and employment opportunities, Breyer Group is offering work experience to the volunteers as a means of getting them back into employment, These placements are designed to build the confidence and self esteem of those who have been out of work for various reasons (such as ill-health). It is our aim to provide the volunteers with a platform/controlled environment from which to relaunch their careers.
